Four-fold Menace - A Nexus of Enveloping Evil

In an era of 'Publishing abundance' unfortunately ushered in by our perverted democracy and technological explosion, looking for needles in hay stacks has become the full-time occupation of a conservative reader who still clings to the old-fashioned belief that quality is all, I don't feel ashamed to confess that I am a conservative in regard to my reading habits and I am immensely happy now that I have found 'a needle'.

An explosively revolutionary book entitled 'NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS: Anti-Nation Industry' jointly edited by two fearless journalists and writers Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak has recently been published by Vigil Public Opinion Forum (VPOF) in Chennai. This forum came into being in Chennai in 1982, as a result of Shri Shivramji Jogelakar's visionary and persistent efforts to unite persons who wrote regularly 'Letters to the Editor' columns in the English and vernacular Press on various public issues from time to time. His whole life was committed to looking for and then bringing together people who are committed to public cause and who dedicated their time to serve a social cause. During the last 25 years, Vigil has emerged as a vibrant and courageous public opinion forum committed to the principle of establishment of truth at any cost.

This revolutionary book exposes the evil anti-national designs of some NGOs and activists operating in India.

They are all committed to their supreme objective of De-Hinduising the Indian State which means rendering the Hindu identity to any aspect of our national life illegitimate and irrelevant in public life and public discourse, with the subterranean objective of eroding the 'Hindu Consciousness' in the Hindus and finally wiping out the Hindu face of the nation. Against this dangerous background, Radha Rajan superbly summarises the consequential position: 'Thus arises the demand for a ban on cow slaughter, the demand of Hindu bakthas that government withdraw from temple administration and stop usurping temple money and temple revenue, the demand for the right to administer their temples and utilise temple money in the interest of Hindu Dharma, the demand that governments take cognizance of growing religious demographic imbalance, the demand that governments acknowledge the consequences of foreign, State-powered and funded religious conversions, demands for an accurate and honest writing of Indian History and the stubborn 'secularist' refusal to admit that all terrorism leading to secession is either Christian or Islamic terrorism, only attests to Hindu powerlessness in the face of political conduct which derives from a twisted definition of secularism.'

Nehruvian secularism is committed to the cause of de-nationalising and de-Hinduising Indian polity. De-nationalising involves the processes of devaluing both nation and nationality. De-nationalising the Indian State, Radha Rajan asserts, has resulted in deadening our consciousness to the ignominy of the rise of a foreigner in Indian polity who aspires to become our Prime Minister.

What emerges from this book can be summarised in the following equation: Mohammedanism + Missionaryism + Marxism + Macaulayism + Nehruvian Secularism = Promotion of Terrorism in India.

In the light of this axiomatic equation, several NGOs and their activities have been analysed with facts and figures which is a wake up call for all the nationalist Hindus of India who subscribe to the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, Shri Aurobindo and Bal Gangadar Tilak. It is a veritable mine of information on many anti-national and anti-Hindu NGOs. And certain high-profile individuals who are found to be in the forefront of anti-India and anti-Hindu propaganda on various issues. Based on a careful analysis of the activities of many NGOs, this landmark book establishes a tangible relationship between the anti-India and the anti-Hindu dimensions of these sinister organisations. In the view of Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak, there can never be any Indian nationalism that is contrary to or separate from Hindu nationalism. It is a natural corollary that the continuing attempts to de-Hinduise our polity by these NGOs and their activists have implications for the national security and the relationship of so-called religious minorities in India with Hindus and the Indian State.

The focus of this book is on the following issues:

a) How these NGOs are de-nationalising the Hindu consciousness in a cold and calculated manner with the covert and overt help from the government of India?

b) A scrutiny of the loose coalition of opportunistic (only in respect of India) anti-Hindu Christians, Muslims, Communists and Nehruvian secularists who are guilty of advocacy of secular sedition when they dismiss Indian nationalism with contempt and hatefully deny the concept of Hindu India's territorial integrity.

c) Politically and socially criminal attempts to use history and social science to indoctrinate the young and impressionable minds with the agenda to de-root the Hindu community from its cultural enclave of geographical nationalism. Islam-embracing, Christianity-coveting, and Hindu-baiting UPA government has carefully planted all the activists belonging to the anti-Hindu category as Members in the Central Advisory Board on Education (CABE) and National Integration Council (NIC). This also includes the Archbishop of Delhi! Many of the activists under the scanner in this book under review find place in both CABE and NIC. This fact is not incidental but fundamental. The dastardly aspect in this context is that there is not a single member in CABE or NIC to represent Hindu interests while Muslims, Christians, Marxists and Nehruvian Secularists and page boys of Sonia Gandhi have been nominated exclusively to represent all these interests in general and the overriding sovereign anti-Hindu secular interests.

Radha Rajan observes with biting sarcasm: 'The activists profiled in this book share Edgar Williams' colonial contempt for the sanctity of the concept of nation and national border and his pathetic ignorance about pre-colonial history and geography of nations, and so they treat the territorial integrity and inviolability of nations and States with the same contempt. Edgar Williams' opinions in his article are self-illustrative of American arrogance and the country's relentless pursuit to fulfil its white Christian neo-colonial and neo-imperialist delusions. The anti-nation, anti-Hindu 'peace' and 'human rights' activists have the same contempt for all Hindu organic and traditional social structures and group identities as they have for the nation and national borders; so they denounce family, varna, jathi and kula, religion and nation as 'upper caste' and 'patriarchal' constructs. 'The ultimate intent of their activism is to damage the Hindu social fibre and weaken social cohesion by de-Hinduising large segments of Hindu society.'

What is most amazing is that Radha Rajan and her colleagues are also incisive Chartered Social Accountants! The following table gives details of the payment and receipt relating to Indo-Pak Peace March Expense Account of Sandeep Pandey on page 251:

I know only about the Dandi March in Indian History. Perhaps Indo-Pak Peace March might be world famous in global pseudo-secular history! An amount of nearly Rs.34,900 has been incurred on petrol and diesel and conveyance. Passport expenses account for Rs.75,000.

Mahatma Gandhi, to the best of my knowledge, did not incur such expenses. At any rate, he did not go on Dandi March in order to collect money from funding agencies abroad. The nation owes a deep debt of gratitude to Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak for bringing out several dimensions and aspects of the truth about several anti-Hindu and anti-India activists and NGOs plotting with gay abandon against the territorial and spiritual integrity of India.

Magicians through the ages have never been able to control their angels or their demons until they discovered their names. The origin of all literature lies here. We have the literature of knowledge; we have the literature of interpretation and the literature of escape; we also have the literature of power. Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak have edited a book of 'power' called 'NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS: Anti-Nation Industry'. I pay my tribute to this great book in the following words of Mathew Arnold: 'Books are man's rational protest against the irrational, man's pitiful protest against the implacable, man's ideal against the world's real, man's word against the cosmic dumbness, man's life against the planetary death, man's revelation of the God within him, man's repartee to the God without him. Whoever touches a book touches not only a 'man' but 'MAN.' Karl Marx and Engels produced the 'Communist Manifesto' in 1848. Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak have produced this great book which I call 'Save Hindu Manifesto.' Their clarion call to us all Hindus is: HINDUS OF THE WORLD UNITE! You have nothing to lose but your chains - chains of Mohammedanism, Missionaryism, Macaulayism, Nehruvian Secularism, Marxism and Global Terrorism.

The weapon of Ahimsa which Mahatma Gandhi used against the British was a complex weapon which he used with mixed results. Viewed in retrospect, no one can doubt that it did put the colonial British Administration in a tight spot on many occasions. At the same time, no one can also question the fact that it dampened the fire of resistance, characteristic of Hindu society which had waged a relentless war of resistance and survival for almost 1200 years against the successive waves of Muslim invasion and occupation.

The method of Ahimsa also proved completely ineffective as a tool of engagement with the Muslims. As Radha Rajan puts it succinctly: 'Gandhiji's unflinching insistence on Ahimsa as the only tool in the war for freedom robbed the Indian resistance movement of its ferocity and sting because Hindu nationalists who tried to make the British pay with their blood for the sins of their Christian-colonial Rule were morally de-legitimised. The Congress' accommodation bordering on self-destructive (for Hindus only!) indulgence of Muslims in the Indian National Congress and their growing clout in national politics was the direct fall out of disarming and disempowering the Hindus. Along with Nehru's perverted indulgence of the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir, this dealt the Hindus two mortal blows, one resulting in the vivisection of India and the other culminating in the genocide of Hindus of Jammu and Kashmir. Hindus paid the price for their forced powerlessness; Hindu baiters tasted blood.'

After the bloody partition of 1947, the sovereign mission of de-Hinduising our nation continued in the guise of Nehruvian Secularism or Nehruvian Stalinism. This essentially anti-national and positively pro-Nehru family philosophy has been accorded the status of high philosophy, even superior to the 'communal' Advita philosophy of Adi Sankara!

While the Congress Party under Nehru and Indira Gandhi were committed to the philosophy of de-Hinduising the nation and de-nationalising the Hindus, several NGOs backed by global forces of Christianity and Islam and several Western powers like Britain and USA entrenched themselves in India after 1955. Later, the Communist Parties of India came to realise the significance of the role of NGOs in modifying or altering the basic structures and contours of our polity and consequently several NGOs wedded to the philosophy of Marxism on paper also joined the fray in this game of de-Hinduisation of India and de-nationalisation of the Hindus. The avant-garde book edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak: 'NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS: Anti-National Industry' brings out the solid truth that many of these NGOs and activists functioning cosily under the safe umbrella of so called peace and human rights activism, cleverly cloak their deep political ambition and objectives - political ambitions not just restricted to participating or influencing electoral politics but aimed at shaping the character and direction of Indian polity in a manner which flows from their warped anti-Hindu, anit-Sanatana Dharma notion of the Indian Nation. Their political ambitions and activism are essentially undemocratic and anti-Indian Nation. Their grass roots activism in many instances is only a fig-leaf for political activism, well funded through an inflow of foreign money. Eminent scholars like R Vaidyanathan, Veera Vaishnava, Narayanan Menon Komerath, Krishen Kak, Nirupama Rajan, George Thondiparambil, Vishal Agarwal, B Raman, and Arvind Lvakare have contributed seminal articles on the subterranean role of national sabotage being played by many of these famous NGOs and the great activists who have won all the global awards excepting perhaps the Nobel Prize. These fearless scholars expose the political and anti-national agenda of some very well-known NGOs and activists and clearly reveal their foreign sponsorships, donors and funds. It proves their double-standard and their total absence of public accountability and stress the urgent public need for the Government of India to ensure a vigorous mechanism to counter this anti-nation and anti-national industry which has spread to all parts of India like the most virulent form of terminal cancer. The NGOs that have been brought under scrutiny include FOIL, AID, ACTIONAID, PARIVARTAN, and ASHA.

One of the essays in this igniting book is by R Vaidyanathan entitled 'NGOs: Description and Regulations'. According to him, one of the largest members of the Indian Economic Action Scene is the NGO sector - what is known as the Third Sector (other than Government and Private) in academic circles. What is a non-Government organization (NGO)? A NGO is any voluntary, non-profit, service-oriented citizens' group which is organized on a local, national or international basis. It can be registered as a Society, Trust or Section 25 Company. The following tables (Table-1 to Table-4) give a synoptic view of the NGO landscape as a whole in India today (pages 41 to 44 of the book under review):

We don't have exact figures relating to the number of persons employed in these nearly 28,500 NGOs in India. One estimate puts it at 19.4 million with West Bengal (1.52 Million), Tamilnadu (1.49 Million) and Delhi (1.03 million) in the forefront.

We should not forget the fact that the total number of Government employees is roughly only 20 million in India (Central, State and Local Bodies).

Vaidyanathan rightly concludes: 'The type of activities in which the NGOs are involved are mind-boggling.

It indicates that the range of concerns of the Third Sector of the NGOs is as large as that of sovereign States'.

All the essays in the book under review bring out the unknown aspects of truth about many of the known Kaikayees, Thadagais, Duryodanas, Dushasanas, Kamsans, Hiranya Kasubus and other such globe-trotting Rakshasas and Rakshasis in the world of Indian NGOs today.

I can see from the material presented in this book that many of them would eminently qualify for the following historic testimonial to the contemporary members of the Democratic Party in his time in USA, given by Walt Whitman (1819-1892), the great Poet of American Democracy: The members who composed it (any Democratic Party National Convention prior to the Civil War) were seven-eighths of them, the meanest kind of bawling and blowing officeholders, office-seekers, pimps, malignants, conspirators, murderers, fancy-men, custom-house clerks, contractors, kept-editors, spaniels well-trained to carry and fetch, jobbers, disunionists, terrorists, mail-riflers, slave-catchers, pushers of slavery, creatures of creatures of the President, creatures of would-be Presidents, spies, bribers, compromisers, lobbyers, sponges, ruined sports, expelled gamblers, policy-backers, Monte-dealers, duelists, carriers of concealed weapons, deaf men, pimpled men, scarred inside with vile disease, gaudy outside with gold chains made from the people's money and harlots' money twisted together; crawling, serpentine men, the lousy combinings and BORN FREEDOM-SELLERS of the earth.

This is not the end, not even the beginning of the end, but only the end of the beginning.

Islam-embracing, Christianity coveting, Hindu-baiting UPA government is in a state of both voluntary and involuntary coma today. In a recent interview with Karan Thapar, our National (In!) Security Adviser M K Narayanan has proudly proclaimed with professional aplomb that Le-T of Pakistan is responsible for all the terror in India! He has declared with Magisterial Ineptitude: 'I know I will be ex-communicated!'

He can afford to be sloppily vocal on vital matters of national life and death. The Prime Minister is silent; the Defence Minister is silent; the Home Minister is silent. The de-jure Prime Minister of India Sonia Gandhi is also silent with Catholic compassion and trans-national sympathy if not loyalty. Outside most of the Missionary, Marxist, Islamic, pseudo secular Nehru-sponsored NGOs are working round the clock to balkanize India with gay and insidious abandon.

Against this dark and gloomy background of planned national destruction and decimation with secular enthusiasm, the biting truths about the nefarious anti-national and treasonable activities brought out in their fire-brand book NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS - ANTI-NATION INDUSTRY edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak should become a prescribed text-book for all the officers in the Government of India and the State governments responsible for national security and public safety. To quote the acid words of Radha Rajan in this vital context: 'The Congress-led UPA coalition defined itself as a 'Secular' (as opposed to 'communal' Hindu ) group and so rewarded these anti-Hindu activists (the noble NGOs!) who made anti-Hinduism the key-note of their political activism. These individuals and groups distort history and historical truths, negate the nation's Hindu civilizational moorings and deny the primacy of Hindu culture and ethos to propagate the twin falsehoods that there is no 'Hindu' community and that India has always been a 'Pluralist' country. Only by secularly declaring India as a 'Pluralist' country can all these NGOs rooted in the western imperialist ideology of attack, plunder, pillage and loot of Countries can they create a geographical platform / space for their occupation and nefarious actions.

The Indian Marxists have learnt two vital lessons from USA and other Western Nations. By funding and supporting NGOs in India, these western powers are influencing social trends and political and economical policies in India. Secondly, they have understood the urgent public need to start their own flourishing anti-national industry called NGO-activism which would enable them to surreptitiously clothe their socially disruptive anti-Hindu activism in a facade of global respectability.

The two most famous names in the anti-Hindu NGO-activism industry in India are Sandeep Pandey and Aruna Roy - telling examples of Marxists marching into NGO activism. Sandeep Pandey's nexus with Communism started coming out when, within months of accepting a Magsaysay Award in 2002 when he announced to the world that he will be returning the money US $ 50,000 - component of the Award. He made this declaration because he felt awkward after having called the US a terrorist State.

According to Radha Rajan, the Communists used Sandeep Pandey to deliver the first punch at the 'Imperialist' US and the Ford Foundation. Nirmala Deshpande and Admiral Ramdas of Pakistan India People's Forum For Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) have already earned their Magsaysays for dabbling in Kashmir and hard selling peace with Pakistan. Sandeep Pandey has original ideas on nationalism and, of course, the status of Kashmir.

This truth-gun-powder like book titled NGOs, Activists and Foreign Funds, Anti-Nation Industry edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak brings under the scanner international tycoons in the NGO Industry in India like Teesta Setalwad, Praful Bidwai and Achin Vainaik, Martin Macwan, Arundhati Roy, Nirmala Deshpande, Angana Chatterjee, Akhila Raman, Sandeep Pandey, Raju Rajagopal and Harsh Mandar. For theses people Hinduism only means sati, dowry, caste and untouchability.

Planned destruction of Hinduism is the royal gateway for global liberation. The main objective of this coalition of Muslims-Missionaries-Nehruvian Secularists is to write Indian history in a manner that places large sections of Hindu Society outside the Hindu fold and another important section as aliens who invaded / migrated into the country from the Steppes of Central Asia. Their only aim is to de-Hinduise the nation by propagating the following theories summarised in a capsule form by Radha Rajan on page 32 of the book.

'Hinduism is Brahminism. The Brahmins are Aryans who are not native to the nation but who first invaded and later migrated into the country, subjugating the native 'Dravidians' and the Adivasis. And therefore what goes in the name of Hinduism is as alien as Islam and Christianity and so there is no basis to the claim of Hindu nationalists that the life-breath of this territory is the Hindu civilization or a Hindu Nation. Dalits and tribals are not Hindus. Modern India was created by the British and it is pluralistic.'

When great saints, sages and seers of India like Swami Vivekananda, Shri Aurobindo, Dr Hedgewar and Guruji Golwalkar describe India as a land of UNITY amidst DIVERSITY, they are referring only to the underlying threat of Hindu civilization and Hindu culture. That is very different from the puerile pluralism being bandied about by a handful of cultural marauders in the NGO industry trying to sell the soul and territory of India to the four menaces of Islamism, Christianity, Communism and Nehruvian secularism. This fundamental point has been brought out with facts and figures by all the contributors to the book under review.

Another striking fact that comes out from this pioneering book on the nasty NGOs in India is that many of the dubious individuals and organizations have played a major role in the promotion of the politics of minorityism - politics of Nehruvian Secularism. These very people and organizations like Osama bin Laden in the field of global terrorism, joined together to create an anti-Hinduism and an anti-Hindu Nation alliance named Coalition Against Genocide (CAG). The US State Department disgraced itself before the Bar of the World and the higher Court of Time when they denied a visa to Narendra Modi. All the Hindus of India should view this US State Department's treatment of Narendra Modi as an affront to the dignity of Bharath Mata and Hindu Nationalism. All the true patriots of India should be very proud of the fact that two brave and fearless independent journalists, Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak, have declared with conviction in this book: 'This book is intended to serve notice on this anti-Hindu coalition and its masters'.

Most of the players in this NGO industry atop every organization look like Government departments wherein a substantial portion of developmental expenses are spent on wages and expenses like telephone, travel (both domestic and international) etc. Another disturbing factor is that the people of India do not have a full picture of how these anti-Hindu and anti-nation NGOs raise their funds from domestic sources. While the Central and State Governments are subject to the audit of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, these NGOs are not subject to any such review. Radha Rajan writes with anguish 'This writer has tried unsuccessfully for nearly three years to get the annual report including annual accounts of three leading NGOs in this country, who have a very high media presence in newspapers and TV channels. Many of these global cultural terrorists swarming in the NGO industry arrogate to themselves unfettered authority to criticize the Central Government, State Governments and other responsible Public Bodies having a clear, categorical and defined structure of duties and responsibilities under the laws of the land.

Many of these NGOs control most of the VIPs in Government in New Delhi and the States. The Government has no control over them. Some of them are more dangerous than terrorist groups like LeT and yet they are given a free run by the Government of India. I am mentioning this to show that the Government of India have abdicated their responsibility for maintaining the territorial integrity and safe-guarding the national security of India. In this context I have to mention that Russia has recently approved a Bill that introduces stringent control over the activities of foreign-funded nongovernment and non-commercial organizations in a move designed to prevent any 'Coloured Revolution' in the country. In USA there is an Act called 'Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA)' and it provides for penalties up to ten years in jail for anyone acting as a foreign agent without notification to the Attorney General. It has to be noted that this FARA was originally passed in 1938 to prevent the spread of Nazi Ideas and Propaganda.

I fully endorse the following view of Vaidyanathan in his essay NGOs: Description and Regulations in this book: 'We would rather have NGOs create a self-regulatory body, or the community creates a body, which is a creature of their own and to which they are accountable. They can co-opt eminent citizens in this body. This becomes important since it is perceived that some of the NGOs are engaging in religious conversions in a rather aggressive fashion and some others are using the NGO banner from blackmailing well-functioning Corporate and Government entities'.

NGOs are multiplying like locusts. These self-styled, now turn-key and now turn-coat, contractors for farming the national conscience and national destiny of India frequently shout from the house-top demanding transparency and regulation and full disclosure from

Corporates and Government. And yet most of them function as secret terrorist organizations owning accountability to none.

Public policies in the Failed State of India today are determined and laws made by small criminal minorities playing upon the fears and imbecilities of the mob - sometimes minorities of intelligent and small men, but usually minorities of rogues.

In the trailblazing book entitled NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS - ANTI-INDIAN INDUSTRY edited by Radha Rajan and Kishen Kak, the nationally destructive role being played by many of the NGOs armed with free flowing supply of foreign funds, under the protective umbrella of pseudo-secularism held aloft by the UPA government, has been presented in a clinching manner by several scholars. Veera Vaishnava in a seminal essay titled SOCIAL MOVEMENTS TO TOTALITARIANISM : THE ROLE OF NGOs clearly states that his essay is about those NGOs that by words and deeds have so far not been truthful, nor accountable for their actions. To quote his sharp words in this context: 'Many social policies espoused by NGOs reflect sensibilities, feelings of guilt, morals, concerns, preferences and values. They are further armed with a gloomy view of a 'Hindu India' and, not surprisingly, this set of sensibilities is the exact reflection of a cadre of 'Civil Society' protagonists ? extremely well-funded internationalists, social / political activists, missionaries, Islamists, intellectual crooks / pimps, academic entrepreneurs, politicians and wealthy foundations of affluent countries'.

The great and global managers in the anti-nation and anti-Hindu NGO industry in India like Teesta Setalvad, Praful Bidwai, Achin Vanaik, Arundhati Roy, Aruna Roy, Nirmala Deshpande, Angana Chatterji, Akhila Raman, Sandeep Pandey, Raju Rajagopal and Harsh Mandar are all self-appointed guardians of an undefined civil society that has been allowed in India to determine, define and decide what ought to be our national goals 'political, economic, moral, ethical and practical' and to proclaim with authority from the housetop what other immediate knock-down priorities of our society and our nation should be ignored and discarded with vibrant secular contempt in the larger NGOs' interest of de-nationalising the Indians and de-Hinduising the nation. The might of the UPA Government and the Congress Party is placed at the feet of these global personalities and the mighty NGOs they represent for achieving their undeclared objectives of selling five prime products in India??Terrorist Islam, Compassionate Christianity, Menacing Marxism, Noxious Nehruvian Secularism and Serpentine Soniaism.

Winston Churchill described Russia as a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. We can use the same terms with reference to the concept of undefined 'Civil Society' sordidly being paraded for sale by most of the self righteous and self-seeking contractors of national morality in the NGO industry in India today. What is Civil Society? Civil Society refers to the totality of voluntary civic and social organizations and institutions that form the basis of a functioning society as opposed to the force-backed structures of a state (regardless of that state's political system). Most of the most powerful NGOs in India cannot survive without the political support of the UPA Government and the ideological ballast of Sonia Gandhi. The National Advisory Council is the strategic umbilical chord between many of the anti-Hindu NGOs and the Islam-embracing, Christianity-coveting and Hindu-baiting UPA Government in New Delhi.

NGOs have been the agents of imperialism throughout the world during the colonial period. They are so even today. James Petras, the sociologist, in his article 'NGOs-In the Service of Imperialism', writes as follows: 'Throughout history ruling classes, representing small minorities, have always depended on the coercive State apparatus and social institutions to defend their power, profits and privileges. In the past, particularly in the Third World, imperial-ruling classes financed and supported overseas and domestic religious institutions to control exploited people and deflect their discontent into religious communal rivalries and conflicts. While these practices continue today, in more recent decades a new social institution emerged that provide the same function of control and ideological mystification, the self-described NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS (NGOs).'

'Today (1999) there are at least fifty thousand (50,000) NGOs in the Third World receiving over $10 billion in funding from international financial institutions, Euro-US-Japanese Governmental Agencies and Local Governments. The Managers of the biggest NGOs manage million dollar budgets with salaries and perks that are comparable to CEOs. They jet to international Conferences, confer with top Corporate and Financial Directors and make Policy decisions that affect in the great majority of cases adversely millions of peoples especially the poor, women and informal sector working people.'

Veera Vaishanava says that almost all the NGOs indulge in vague rhetoric, packaged to appeal to all segments of the citizenry, 'as they seem very noble', and some of the catchy words viewed as issues for calculated NGO action(!) are Peace, Empowerment, Sustainable Development, Displacement, Forest Land and Tribals, Child Rights, Women Empowerment, Right to Food, Animal Rights, Human Rights, Environment, and Capacity Building. When I hear this pit-a-pat of the rain of vacuous and empty words, I am only reminded of one of the characters in Thomas Carlyle's Sartor Resartus(1833) called Professor Teufelsbrockh who asked the question: What are your Axioms and Categories, and Systems and Aphorisms? Words, words. High Air-Castles are cunningly built of Words, the Words well-bedded also in good Logic-Mortar, wherein, however, no knowledge will come to lodge'. Be not the slave of words'.

Most of the UPA Government aided and abetted NGOs in India are interested only in parading an orchestra of panoplied falsehood of words like 'we work among the poorest, the lowliest and the lost'. W.H.Auden had our NGOs in mind when he wrote the following lines of poetry:

Let mouths beware
Of words, for
With words we lie
Can we say peace
When we mean war
Foul thoughts speak fair
And promise falsely

All the NGOs issue pompous mission statements; announce mass campaigns; organise meetings and speeches; and bring out publications and writings. They indulge in underground and over-ground domestic and international fund-raising. Yet at the same time they are without an enforceable Code of Ethics in addition to Transparency, Accountability and Accuracy. Veera Vaishnava says with anguish: 'it is impossible to hold them accountable for their actions and consequences on society, particularly in a nation whose nationhood is continuously under attack both from within and from without, by the same NGOs or their sponsors or allies 'home-grown or foreign'.

The bed-rock, the foundation and the underlying structure of most of these dubious NGOs is anti-Statist, anti-Nationalist and blatantly anti-Hindu. While they lack specific solutions to any problem, the fact that they are focused specifically against Hindus and Hinduism is patently clear.

I fully agree with Veera Vaishnava when he asserts that these NGOs are totally unrepresentative, undemocratic and totally unaccountable groups which have gained prominence during the last decade. They are supported by some nation-states, globalists and groups (both secular and religious) that have trans-national ambitions, in order to have a reach into various other nations and to have access to peoples. To expect accountability and intellectual honesty from these NGOs is rank foolishness. Countries like England and America are using these NGOs (faith-based groups) to undermine the national integrity of India. These groups follow the following tactics:

a) Ganging together under a master NGO such as COALITION AGAINST GENOCIDE (CAG) to protest against Narendra Modi's visit to the US. They act as central players, setting the agenda, drafting documents, writing in the media, parading mercenary activists as scholars, lobbying diplomats and Governments.

b) Speed is the essence of their approach. The Blitzkrieg manner in which they unleash propaganda limits the opportunities for dissent and understanding. Further, one can never verify every claim (lie!) made by a Master NGO supposedly working for the 'poor and downtrodden'

c) All the efforts of the new NGO activities are described in woolly words like Peoples Participation, Sustainable Development, Empowerment, and Consensus etc. These words are designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.

We can clearly see from the inexorable logic outlined in Veera Vaishnava's article that while the declared proclamations of the NGOs like FOIL, ASHA, AID etc any be noble, yet it to be a matter of serious national concern that they do not disclose their methods of operation, their balance-sheets, tactics and strategies. Since they are all anti-Statist, anti-National and anti-Hindu, all of us have a right to know the truth about many of the NGOs operating in India. They are acting on behalf of external forces and ideologies, while making profits in social 'markets' of a weak Hindu Society. It is indeed an arduous task to keep track of such NGOs (social movements!) as they spin off under different names and banners much like Jihadi Groups in Pakistan that overlap and network with the divisive agenda of others.

Basically, an ideal society envisioned by all these Nation-Sabotaging NGOs is the one dominated and controlled by the State, and opposite of what democracies have and aspire for?a society dominating the State. However, the law is not binding on them because the captains of NGOs Industry see it only as a means to achieve their final end destruction of Hinduism and Hindu India. With this end in view they have succeeded in achieving total control of mass media in India.

To conclude in the appropriate words of Veera Vaishanava; In their shrill shrieks for humans rights, civil society, minority rights etc, there are these three words one will never hear Responsibilities, Rapprochement and Reconciliation. After all, wouldn't that be a commonsensical solution without tearing up a society?…..It is the Hindu Society that needs a wake-up call to undertake the mission of re-building a truly progressive and inclusive society. It is the Hindus alone who can strengthen the society without unduly pandering or yielding to anti-nationals who want to destroy the Indian Identity and Sanatana Dharma by promoting narrow identities- ethnic or religious or caste or class.

In books dwell all the demons and all the angels of the human mind. Many great books serve as an arsenal of explosives, an army of revolutions, an opium-den of reactions. A book is a powder-magazine, a dynamite-shed, a drug-store of poisons, a bar of intoxicants, a den of opiates, and an island of sirens. Books are the idea of things before things begin. Books create worlds and destroy worlds. Books are the mirrors of light and the mirrors of darkness in which the universe sees its own face. These are the rush of ideas which flooded my mind when I read the highly inflammatory, instructive and inspiring article by Krishen Kak tilted 'SCORING AGAINST PAGANISM: UNTANGLING THE MANDERWEB' which forms a part of the recently published highly explosive book 'NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS ANTI NATION INDUSTRY' edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak.

In this incisively polemical essay Krishen Kak exposes the shady if not wholly fraudulent track record of NGOs like ACTION AID, MAZDOOR KISAN SHAKTI SANGATHAN (MKSS), SAHMAT, ANHAD, PARIVARTAN etc. He describes in graphic detail the lives and achievements of selfless workers with an established record of shining self sacrifice and self abnegation in the NGOs Industry ? global giants like Harsh Mander, Arudhati Roy and Aruna Roy, national giants like Shabnam Hashmi, N C Saxena and Shekhar Singh, the real and sacred salt of the NGO earth ??? and the calculated reverence with which the UPA Government in New Delhi, British Government in London and the American Government in Washington treats them. Krishen Kak raises a shout against these NGOs and their Paramatmas and seems to tell us with gusto - Consider these facts of mine! Have regard for this theory of mine founded on solid facts and figures! Let me dominate you with the magic of my logic! Let me liberate you with my imagination! Let me seduce you with my subtle impressions! Let me take you out of your dull Hindu tamasic self-complacency with my whimsies, my fancies, my humours and hammers.

Even before Sonia Gandhi joined the spiritual company of Mahatma Gandhi in 2004 after sacrificing the easily available post of a Prime Minister, a great son of India who can be ranked with Aadhi Shankara and Ramanuja, if not Jesus Christ (!) called Harsh Mander figured in a centre-page piece tilted 'Hindustan Hamara' in the Times of India issue dated March 20, 2002. This story propelled its author Harsh Mander into the very first rank of our country's conscience-keepers. Like Winston Churchill roaring in the House of Commons against the atrocities of Hitler and Nazidom during the II World War, Harsh Mander had ranted about the communal violence that had rocked Gujarat after a Muslim mob incinerated 58 Hindu children, women and men in a train leaving Godhra station. His savage remarks against Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat and his Government acquired an unimpeachable authority because he made them as a serving senior member of the elite Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 'Hindustan Hamara' was rapidly broadcast over the USA, the UK and the Darul Islam as an authoritative eye-witness account of the post-Godhra violence in Gujarat.

Even as Mahatma Gandhi went to London to participate in the second Round Table Conference in August 1931, this neo-Gandhi globally famous as Harsh Mander, went on a tour of the West and waxed in choking eloquence?? imitating the manner of Mahatma Gandhi ? his inner anguish for the Muslims (and Muslims only!!) who died in Gujarat. Later he declared that he resigned from the IAS on moral grounds because he was overwhelmed by the anguish following communal violence in Gujarat. He said he wanted to separate himself from an administration that he declared had sponsored the violence against Muslims. All the national English language Nehruvian-secular media made a hero of him. He was lionised especially on Muslim websites. Muslim organisations hosted and sponsored him all over the USA and he publicly declared - over the BBC his deathless infatuation for the Muslims and for all things Islamic. In all his public utterances in the West, he gave inflated figures about the hundreds of thousands of Muslims killed in Gujarat. He was theatrical and unrestrained in his use of words like 'Pogrom, Genocide' and 'Communal Fascism' and the Hindu-hating mafia of English mass media in India promoted Harsh Mander as a man of conscience, principles and secularism. Krishen Kak brings out the deeds and misdeeds of Harsh Mander in his capacity as Chief of Action Aid India, a NGO promoted and sustained by the British Government as part of its unstated but well understood global evangelization efforts under the label of 'Development'.

Action Aid, a global 'Child-sponsorship' business which is fully supported by the British Government as a charity is really a tool of its Foreign Policy. The fact that Action Aid CHEATS both its donors and its beneficiaries was revealed in 1999 by independent investigators and is now a matter of public record. Binu Thomas in his clearly presented piece, 'The Ugly Side of Child Sponsorship' exposed the sinister side of this 'Prestigious Charity' in India which included Harsh Mander's initiative and involvement in promoting in India its foreign agenda of humane (!) rascality and deceit. Krishen Kak rightly concludes 'That Action Aid has a communal agenda for our country?evidenced by its complete silence over the liquidation of Hindus in the Islamic States of Pakistan and Bangla Desh (in Bangla Desh Hindus by Law and in practice are 'enemy')?is also a matter of public record. That Action Aid's resources supported Harsh Mander's notoriously communal piece in the Times of India occasioned only a flat denial by Action Aid??and Harsh Mander himself, an open letter to him notwithstanding, never publicly denied the use of these resources.'

This British NGO called Action Aid through its strategically planted subterfuge called Harsh Mander drawn from the Indian Administrative Service released vast amounts of money to network over 300 Voluntary Agencies, one private limited company and their nears and dears. According to Krishen kak, among Harsh Mander's nears and dears who benefited from Action Aid's patronage bonanza in India are his fellow adventurers and comrades in arms like Aruna Roy of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) and the National Campaign of Peoples Right to Information (NCPRI), and Sekar Singh of the NCPRI, apart from Dimple and Suroor Mander.

The following facts emerge from Krishen Kak's expose of Action Aid in India and its VISWAKARMA cast in the mould of a Mahatma Gandhi according to his faithful admirers:

Firstly Action Aid is rabidly communal, with one standard for Islam against Hindus in Pakistan, Bangla Desh and India and another standard for Hindus fighting back for the survival of their culture and religion in India.

Secondly Action Aid shamelessly intervenes in a cavalier manner in our country's national politics and its Plenipotentiary in India Lord Harsh Mander has publicly asserted its right to do so in all his public orations in India and abroad, particularly on the transcendental glory and relevance of Pan-Islamism. This inalienable right to dabble in politics claimed by Action Aid and its Indian Bearer-in-waiting, in Hindu majority India, strangely enough, is not claimed by them in Islamic States like Pakistan and Bangla Desh

Thirdly Action Aid India initiated a study to examine the social, economic and educational conditions of Muslims in India. No enthusiasm or interest was shown by Action Aid to make a similar study of the shattered and battered Hindus in Pakistan and Bangla Desh. Action Aid treats Hindus of India, Pakistan and Bangla Desh on a footing of equality and in the larger interest of equity (!) and natural justice (!!) as KAFIRS as enjoined in the KORAN.

Fourthly, Action Aid, like the Communist Parties of India, always functions as an extended non-governmental arm of the Congress Party. It has never criticized communal violence let loose by the Congress Party against the Sikhs in New Delhi in 1984. It has never bothered to comment on massive Bangla Deshi Muslim illegal immigration into Assam cleverly organised by the Congress Party and the consequent Nellie communal carnage.

Fifthly, Action Aid cleverly avoided giving any reply to the charge that it received a grant of Rupees Three Crores from the Congress Government of Chattisgarh even while Harsh Mander I.A.S. of that cadre was on deputation to Action Aid India.

Sixthly, Harsh Mander in his capacity as country head of Action Aid India, in an International Forum in the USA, publicly supported Sonia Gandhi's eligibility to rule India.

Seventhly Action Aid was rewarded with Indian Tax-Payer Largesse from secular Congress Governments of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and Delhi. Krishen Kak hilariously concludes that Harsh Mander was along with Teesta 'BEST FAKERY' Setalvad rewarded with the secular Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award by Sonia Gandhi's Nehruvian-Secular Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.

To sum up we have a foreign agency in India. promoting a communal agenda, managed by a serving IAS Officer, openly promoting the Congress Party and its Supremo Sonia Gandhi, and the return to it included an award and a financial nexus between the foreigner and at least three Congress Governments in our country. Krishen Kak brilliantly observes: 'Unstructured organizations are accountable to no one and within India the incestuous web of Manderians who promote them are accountable only to themselves. They are co-adventurers in the business of selling out our Pagan Land.'

Though books, as John Milton says, may be the embalming of mighty spirits, they are also the resurrection of rebellious and boisterous spirits! And just because books are the repository of all the redemptions and damnations, all the sanities and insanities, of the Divine anarchy of the soul, they are still, as they have always been, an object of suspicion to every kind of ruling authority. A great book sets the prophet against the priest, the prisoner against society, the has-nothing against the has-all, the individual against the universe! Books are more than a second Nature. They are an-under Nature and over-nature. They are Nature in her appalling universality, strained through the divine diabolic sieves of every type of human imagination. It seems as if there is darkness and light, evil and good, in any great human book; yes, and clarity and obscurity too. Sometimes I am tempted to think that a supreme work of polemic narration cannot exist without an element of appalling obscenity. Even the most idealistic of great books often dips deep down into the mud, deep down into that abysmal silt at the bottom of the ocean without which reality would not be reality. The over-sweetness of pious optimism comes at last to smack of death, till the bitter antidote of desperate pessimism galvanises it back into life. The great books are the books that create a world, a world to which, with its atmosphere, its situations, its characters, you can compare the haphazard chances and casual impressions of real life as they cross your path.

These boiling intellectual and emotional reactions besieged my soul when I was reading the recently published book titled 'NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS-ANTI-NATION INDUSTRY' edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak. In this gun-powder book Krishen Kak has written a brilliant article SCORING AGAINST PAGANISM: UNTANGLING THE MANDERWEB in which he describes the anti-national activities of some unscrupulous individuals of global fame in the NGOs Industry in India. In this context, he has coined an exciting word called Manderweb which would smoothly slide into the slot of any cyber-space concerned with international fraud, both as a cause and effect of NGOs Industry in India.

Who are the leading players in the revolutionary firmament of The Manderweb? Of course the unquestioned leader with a tremendous clout here, there and everywhere, now and always, is Harsh Mander, the former Chief of Action Aid India. He functioned as a paid Intelligence Agent of the British Government in India. He has arrogated to himself the role of Lady Katherine Mayo who in her scandalous book called 'Miss India' blasphemed India and her people in the middle 1920s. Mahatma Gandhi dismissed her report as a Drain Inspector's Report. Harsh Mander has done the same in regard to Narendra Modi and the Hindus of Gujarat and India in all his perorations abroad during the last five years. Krishen Kak brings out the fact that Harsh Mander and the Times of India violated almost every instruction of the Press Councils' Guidelines on the reporting of Communal violence.

Harsh Mander was condemned by the Press Council of India (decision 14/106/02-03 dated 30 JUNE 2003, Dr Krishen Kak v/s TIMES OF INDIA) for spreading false rumours about alleged Hindu atrocities in his famous column 'HINDUSTAN HAMARA' in TIMES OF INDIA dated 20 March 2003; incidentally a title borrowed from a poem by Mohammed Iqbal, who claimed 'OUR INDIA' for ISLAM and became the spiritual father of Pakistan.

To quote the most appropriate words of DR KOENRAAD ELST in this context: 'Distortive or even totally false reporting on communally sensitive issues is a well entrenched feature of Indian journalism. There is no self-corrective mechanism in place to remedy this endemic culture of disinformation. 'These days, much acclaimed characters like John Dayal, HARSH MANDER and Arundhati Roy lie in waiting for communal riots and elatedly jump at them when and where they erupt. They exploit the anti-Hindu propaganda value of riots to the hilt, making up FICTIONAL stories as they go along to compensate for any defects in the true account.'

After exposing the gigantic fraud underlying Action Aid India and its secular non-saffronized cosmopolitan and globe-trotting plenipotentiary acting in the manner of a KARMA YOGI, Krishen Kak directs his highly 'communal' laser beam to Aruna Roy's NGO which goes by the grandiloquent name of Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS). He does it with unique pungency and poignancy. It is clear from Krishen Kak's mathematical analysis that Aruna Roy, as a matter of NGO right, expects integrity and public accountability from everyone excepting herself. As a Gandhian, she would not take any foreign help in cash but would not mind accepting free air-tickets for her frequent travels around the world. In this respect Aruna Roy and Harsh Mander supplement each other and not supplant each other. Like Harsh Mander, she also once belonged to the IAS and what was an irreparable loss to the IAS became an indispensable gain to the secular anti-Hindu NGOs Industry in India. Krishen Kak graphically brings out how she became an irreplaceable asset to the international forces of fraud and deceit in India??Global Islam, Global Christianity and Evangelism, Marxism and overtopping them all Nehruvian Secularism.

An American Body called Association for India's Development (AID), hosted Aruna Roy and her colleague Sankar Singh as the key-note Speakers to America. Arunaji and Sankarji gave their heartfelt testimonials to Narendra Modi and the Hindus of Gujarat as the joint sponsors of State organized violence against the compassionate and innocent Muslims of Gujarat. The Hindu men, women and children who were burnt alive in a railway carriage at Godhra were not even mentioned once in their public speeches.

Aruna Roy's duplicity was exposed by a fellow-participant at the World Social Forum (WSF) in Mumbai. There Aruna Roy said 'When we say another world is possible, we are saying that we want development and globalisation that is people-centric, that puts people first rather than Corporations or profits' . No doubt even in her own NGO industry MKSS, she puts 'people' first, and so she tells the world. But her air tickets to the USA and all her travel costs and hospitality abroad are eventually paid for by her American sponsors' earnings from 'Corporations and Profits'. As Beena Adhik observes : ' The NGOs who are flocking to WSF, have no ideology and are themselves totally dependent on foreign funding which in turn comes from multi nationals.'

What is the conclusion of all this NGOs tamasha ?? sordid, sinister, sadistic and showy ?. Krishen Kak delivers his sombre and condign verdict : 'But then, as the Volcker Report, the Mitrokhin and Benediktov papers, and the Quattrocchi saga reveal, Aruna Roy and her kind are aligned to a political lineage that flatters itself on it's 'crystalline honesty' even as it grovels and fattens itself on anti-national foreign largesse'.

Aruna Roy assets with pious pomposity that 'we cannot stand by and watch the failure of Government and civil society, the breakdown of law and order, of democratic human values. It is a question of whether Indian democracy will survive at all'. As a known Marxist, she will not talk about West Bengal where the communists systematically rig the elections so much so that 'Democracy and Bengal' are two mutually exclusive concepts. She will not talk about the Hindu genocide in Kashmir systematically carried out with the help of Islamic J & K Government by the saints and sages of compassionate Islam !. She will not talk about parts of Bihar which became a 'Pakistan Mohalla' during the Chief Ministership of Lallu Yadav and his redoubtable Rabri Devi, both of whom functioned as Nehruvian secular Commission Agents of global terrorist Islam !. She will not talk about Kishenganj district in Bihar which has become a mini-Pakistan area thanks to 'tainted minister' Taslim Ahmed in Dr Manmohan Singh's Cabinet. She can go all the way to America to cry to Americans about Hindus who are not compassionate etc etc, but she hasn't the guts to go to the Jammu refugee camps that are described as hell-on-earth and tell the Hindu refugees there of vicious and wicked Muslim terrorists who are not so compassionate etc etc. For her, Government of Gujarat is always more culpable than the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. This is Congress sponsored, Sonia-supported and sustained Nehruvian secularism at its noblest, truest, sublimest best !

Like Aruna Roy, Shabnam Hashmi of the Nehruvian-secular SAHMAT lied about foreign help in cash but not in kind, nor about the Islamic interests that, for the same purpose as Aruna Roy's, paid for her travel to and in America for Hindu-baiting and Narendra Modi-baiting in America !. The other great actors on the international stage of machinating , mendacious and malicious MANDERWEB, apart from Harsh Mander and Aruna Roy, are K N Panikkar, Shuba Mudgal, Arudathi Roy, Shekar Singh and N C Saxena.

These Nehruvian Secularists are appeasers. They preach compassion, understanding and tolerance to the Hindus. But they dare not preach to Christian missionaries or Muslim Mullahs values of compassion, understanding and tolerance towards the pagan Hindus.

These unscrupulous pseudo-secular deceivers are the most dangerous members of our society. They trifle with the best affections of our nature and violate the most sacred obligations with pan-Islamic, pan-Christian and pan-Marxist contempt, solidly supported by the mafia of mass media in India. Hindus of the world unite ! You have nothing to lose but the chains of these deceivers !!

Richard de Bury brilliantly observes: 'Books are masters who instruct us without rods or ferrules, without words or anger, without bread or money. If you approach them, they are not asleep; if you seek them, they do not hide; if you blunder, they do not scold; if you are ignorant, they do not laugh at you.' The best of a book is not the thought which it contains, but the thought which it suggests; just as the charm of music dwells not in the tones but in the echoes of our hearts. There is a kind of physiognomy in the title of books no less than in the faces of men, by which a skilful observer will know as well what to expect from the one or the other. Helen Keller welcomed the arrival of a new book in these words: 'Truly each new book is as a ship that bears us away from the fixity of our limitations into the movement and splendour of life's infinite ocean'. I would like to welcome the new time-bomb book titled NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS ANTI-NATION INDUSTRY edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak in the same manner and with the same enthusiasm.

Radha Rajan, Krishen Kak have thoroughly exposed the Himalayan fraud of the NGOs Anti-Nation Industry and the despicable men and women who plague this industry??many of them international liars who often make falsehood appear like truth and end with making truth itself appear like falsehood. Samuel Johnson said, 'fraud generally lights a candle for justice to get a look at it, and a rogue's pen indites the warrant for his own arrest'.

Radha Rajan's expose of VIP men and women in the NGOs industry clearly brings out the blazing truth in Samuel Johnson's observation.

This book ferries all the patriotic and enlightened citizens of India who are deeply concerned about the very survival of India as a nation across the muddied and swirling waters of anti-nation and anti-Hindu activism of NGOs, mainly funded by foreign funds and operating under the devilishly chosen banners of 'Social Equality, Peace, Democratic Rights, Human Rights, Emancipation of Women, Gender Rights' and 'Religious Freedom'.

Radha Rajan in her bold essay titled NGOS AND ACTIVISTS SINGING FOR THEIR SUPPER clearly proves that the primary objective of some of the foreign-funded NGOs and other activists is to keep the Hindus in a continuing state of disempowerment, to de-Hinduise and de-nationalise the Indian state. She describes the anti-Hindu coalition of Marxists, Muslims, Missionaries and Nehruvian Secularists, lists the organisations that belong to this coalition and also reproduces word for word what these activists have written and said about Nationalism, Hinduism, the RSS, Partition, Indo-Pak relations, the Gujarat riots, India's nuclear programme and of course, Jammu and Kashmir.

She neatly brings out the fact that the Indian State and India's civil society are threatened by three inimical international terrorist groups?Islamic Jihad, Evangelical Christian Terrorism in the North-East and Communist/Marxist/Maoist/Naxalite Terrorism. These organized terrorist forces can be dealt with only by a determined State and a strong and well organized society?both of which are non-existent in India today.

Radha Rajan demonstrates through established facts and figures that anti-Hindu and anti-India activism of certain NGOs and individual activists thrives and grows only in the context of Hindu powerlessness.

Radha Rajan declares: 'This chapter (Essay) will feature, among others, Martin Macwan and his white Christian patron saint Kathy Sreedhar, Arundhati Roy, Sandeep Pandey, Akhila Raman, Praful Bidwai and his tweedledee Achin Vainik and Nirmala Deshpandey and her tweedledee Admiral Ramdoss. Much as I would have liked to have similarly profiled Shabnam Hashmi (sister of Safdar Hashmi) and her two Organizations first SAHMAT and now ANHAD, Ram Puniyani and Teesta Setalvad and her COMMUNALISM COMBAT, I have chosen to focus attention on those who have been bestowed foreign awards and why I think they were thus rewarded'.

The anti-Nation, the anti-Hindu 'Peace and Human Rights' activists have the same contempt for all Hindu organic and traditional social structures and group identities as they have for the nation and national borders. So they denounce family, varna, jaati, kula, religion and nation 'upper caste' and patriarchal constructs. The main aim of NGOs activism is to prise apart important segments of Hindu Society like women, tribals and the so-called Dalits from their family, community and cultural, religious and national moorings. The ultimate intent of their activism is to damage the Hindu social fibre and weaken social cohesion by de-Hinduising large segments of Hindu society.

When Non-Resident Hindu and Nationalist Indians were organizing themselves and gaining considerable social status in the US after 1998, COALITION AGAINST GENOCIDE was created in USA by a group of anti-Hindu Yankee Indian Leftists to work against the interests of the rising tide of Hindu nationalism. In order to counter the nationalist appeal of The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas organized by the NDA Government to encourage NRIs to visit India in December/January of every year, The Promise of India led by evangelists like Raju Rajagopal moved to organize their own conference of pseudo-secularists in India every year in January. PROMISE OF INDIA organized a conference 'Linking Peace and Development in January 2004. Known Hindu baiters like Raju Rajagopal, Nirmala Deshpande, Admiral Ramdas, Aruna Roy, Harsh Mander, Tarun Tejpal, Professor Imtiaz Ahmed, Swami Agnivesh and Father Cedric Prakash participated in the conference. The second conference was dedicated to the theme 'Making Peace With Diversity and Development'. Radha Rajan comments with sarcasm - You cannot accuse these worthies of originality. They recycle the same words, the same ideas and same issues in new permutations and combinations. Known pseudo-secular chewing gum of the mind heart and soul indeed!! Socrates said that religion is MAN'S dialogue with his soul. For these mercenaries of pseudo-secularism religion is man's sodomy with himself!!

The Indian Muslim Council (IMC) USA is one of the organizations of the Coalition Against Genocide. This organization rewards or gives awards mainly to anti-Hindu pseudo-secular Hindus. The IMC-USA crowned Shri.Kumar Poddar with the Bahadur Shah Zafar Award - for promoting pluralism and community harmony in India. The mind-boggling 'Peace' and 'Human Rights' Industry in USA is as big as the 'For Profit' Arms Industry that creates the conditions for conflict resolution in the first place round the world.

The popular misconception about the Magsaysay Award is that it is an Asian Award. It is not. It is an American Award for Asians constituted in the late 1950's by the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation in memory of Ramon Magsaysay, the former President of the Philippines. The Magsaysay Awardees Gallery includes the following anti-Hindu pseudo-secularists :

Admiral Ramdas, Nirmala Deshpande and a retired General of the Pakistani Army, one Karamat Ali, founded the PAKISTAN INDIA PEOPLE'S FORUM FOR PEACE AND DEMOCRACY (PIPFPD). This Peace Organization conducted several Conventions in the cities of India and Pakistan and issued 'Declarations' at the end of every Convention. THE PESHAWAR DECLARATION stated that the Indian Army was guilty of raping Kashmiri women in Kashmir. Overnight Admiral Ramdas and Nirmala Deshpande became national heroes in Pakistan. They are greater heroes in the eyes of UPA Government today than Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak or Aurobino Ghosh. Nirmala Deshpande has taken more Avatars than Mahavishnu. Harijan Welfare, Womens Welfare, Education, Peace and Democratic Rights, Rural Development?you name it and you have it. She calls herself a Gandhian. She is basically anti-Hindu and pseudo-secular and with a little amount of luck she should get the award of Bharat Ratna in the near future!!

Sandeep Pandey got the Magsaysay Award in 2002. Only after he got the Award, the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation came to know that Sandeep Pandey was a Communist. Radha Rajan brings out his capacity for deception, dissimulation and prevarication. He heads the grisly gang of pseudo-secular anti-Nation and anti-Hindu VIPs fully documented by Radha Rajan, Krishen Kak and others.

Arundhati Roy is known for her fervent patriotism. The communal Bal Gangadhar Tilak said that Swaraj is my birthright. To turn to the deathlessly inspiring words of Arundhati Roy: 'I am no flag-waver, no patriot, and I am fully aware that venality, brutality and hypocrisy are imprinted on the leaden soul of every state'. A great and a noble soul indeed in the line of Saint Theresa of Avilla.

To sum up, all these unreasonable if not treasonable, self-styled leaders of India proclaim the following casual and cavalierly revolutionary views on Jammu and Kashmir in one voice:

  • 'NATION' is a patriarchal construct
  • 'NATIONAL BORDERS' are negotiable and irrelevant
  • 'THE TERRITORY' of a nation is a mere real estate
  • 'DEFENDING' the nation's territorial integrity is 'TERRITORIAL AND MILITANT' nationalism
  • Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir have the right to self-determination which includes the right to secede
  • The people of Jammu and Ladakh do not have the right to self-determination which asserts that Jammu and Ladakh are an integral part of the Indian nation.
  • While the Sunni Muslims of the Kashmir valley have the right to self-determination leading to secession from the Indian nation, the people of Jammu and Ladakh do not have the right to self-determination seeking separation from the valley and integration with the rest of India.
  • Kashmiri Hindus have no right to self-determination seeking full integration of Jammu with the Indian Union.
  • For the Sunni terrorists of Jammu and Kashmir, their demand for secession must be viewed as an integrate demand including the voices of the Hindus of Jammu and the Buddhists of Ladakh. This vital Jihadic principle is not applicable to the rest of India.

Are not these NGOs acting as the main conduits of hate and fratricide?

The silent influence of books is a mighty power in the World; and there is a joy in reading them known only to those who read them with desire and enthusiasm ?? silent, passive and noiseless though they be, they yet set in action countless multitudes and change the order of nations. The recently published book NGOs, ACTIVISTS AND FOREIGN FUNDS - ANTI-NATION INDUSTRY edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak is bound to have a decisive impact upon government policies relating to the functioning of NGOs in India and the flow of foreign funds to the NGOs sector.

George Thundiparambil's essay titled CLOSING WORD: Who is afraid of the Hindu nation? has given a graphic description of how many NGOs in India function as instruments of hate and fratricide. To quote his appropriately lethal words in this context: 'For Indians who are aware of the anti-Hindu agendas of Christian, Islamic and Communist organisations in India and abroad, it is neither shocking nor surprising that numerous NGOs have sprung up throughout the Country, which act as sole-agent for these alien and hostile organisations.'

The password to international success in the World of NGOs is to choose the flag of Anti-Hindu. Start your career by unleashing a tirade against the Hindus and Hindu civilisation. In order to become an effective and successful mercenary, start an NGO and visit the USA and tell the Christian fundamentalists there what they want to hear: How evil and backward, how superstitious and ignorant the unconverted pagan Hindus are. Compare them with Nazis and then on the way back home, make a stop over in Pakistan and talk 'peace' and mention the 'atrocities' committed by Indian soldiers in Kashmir. As George Thundiparambil hilariously puts it: Punch the Hindu on the nose whenever you can, and if you have accrued enough points, you will start winning international awards. When the NGO accounts are in the mess, close shop and start another NGO. Nehruvian secularists with Hindu names are preferred for the NGO Industry. THE PASSWORD IS ANTI-HINDU.'

Nirupama Rajan and Radha Rajan in their essay 'ASHA PROJECTS: Where does all the money go?' have carefully and critically analysed the available descriptive and statistical data relating to 1538 projects being implemented by ASHA in India. Most of these projects appear to be vague, undefined, and mysterious. The only point of clarity is in respect of the exact amount of debasing and debauching US dollars received / allotted for each project! The FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) Department in the Union Home Ministry in New Delhi functions as an executive arm of anti-Hindu and anti-Nation agencies like ASHA which are beyond the purview of all scrutiny by all the Enforcement Agencies of the Government of India!

Under the heading FELLOWSHIPS, many Fellowships have been handed over to many people by ASHA of whom three are Pandeys. Sandeep Pandey himself, Mahesh Pandey and Vallabhacharya Pandey (page 266 of the book under review).

Comment: While there is at least a brief account on the purpose of the above two fellowships, SANDEEP PANDEY'S own Fellowship comes with no stated purpose or description: (page 267 of the book under review) Is not Sandeep Pandey , like the king of England, definitely above the Law ?.

Comment: This is what the Magsaysay Award Citation for Sandeep Pandey had to say: 'SHA's teachers take no pay. Instead, they support themselves with sidelines such as making candles and greeting cards from hand-made paper'.

Sandeep Pandey is the Fuehrer of ASHA. Sandeep Pandey is to the funds of ASHA what Sonia Gandhi is to the funds of the Congress Party. Radha Rajan pays her inimitable tribute to this pseudo secular, anti-Hindu, anti-Nation cosmopolitan and global Leonardo Da Vinci of India in these words', Sandeep Pandey is a man of many parts, all of them skin-deep and each of them carefully and calculatedly crafted to feed his gargantuan appetite for Mammon. American greenback Mammon, that is. He walks, he talks, he writes, he protests - for his version of 'peace' against Indian mukes, for Kashmiri and other terrorists, for the terrorist state of Pakistan, against Hindus and their nationalism, against Coca-Cola and for the 'poor' 'destitute' children of India who don't go to school which fact this IIT graduate confesses in an interview to the Milli Gazette, he came to know late in his life, only during his years in the US from a book published by MIT in 1991 titled 'The Child and The State in India' Sandeep Pandey has so far picked only those issues for his money-making activism which will keep him in media limelight. As I said, each one of these many parts of Sandeep Pandey is intended to make money from anti-national disruptive activism.

Skin-deep San-Deep's activism is intentionally anti-Hindu and anti-Hindu nation which is why the US and its client States, were willingly deceived into patronising the man with awards, media attention, with talking tours in foreign universities and with Magsaysay award. Only now the US establishment has come to know that he is a stooge of the Communist party. Sandeep Pandey, the pseudo educationist, the pseudo social-activist, the peace-activist, the pseudo anti-nuke activist ?? all of these pseudo-beards disguise from public gaze ?? Sandeep Pandey, the committed and vocal supporter of Marxist-Leninist Naxal terrorism. And skin-deep Sandeep is mortally afraid the false beard may fall off and that his Naxal proclivities may come under the US State Department scanner. That is why Radha Rajan concludes that he is a communist in Blue Funk. Sandeep Pandey by his extraordinary success in the field of activism of NGOs Industry has proven Winston Churchill right who said - A Master Craftsman indeed!! Craft is common both to skill and deceit'.

The following dangerous conclusions emerge from the point of view of National security from this highly incandescent book NGOs, ACTIVIST AND FOREIGN FUNDS ANTI-NATION INDUSTRY edited by Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak :

a) The network of anti-Nation, anti-Hindu, NGOs and activists comprising Marxists, Nehruvian Secularists, Muslims and Missionaries is well-entrenched in the US, particularly American universities.

b) There is a powerful network of donor agencies which include foreign Governments, Foundations, Trusts and other Chuch Charities which work with Marxist and Christian Indian NGOs in India with well-defined political objectives among the Dalits, women and tribal communities within Hindu society.

c) The Indian Government's Home Ministry through which all foreign funds must be routed has no fool-proof mechanism to inspect and verify if the projects mentioned by NGOs on paper exist in reality and also to check whether the foreign money received has been used for the purpose for which it was brought in and for no other anti-Nation and anti-social purposes.

d) The Indian Government has not cared to haul ASHA or Sandeep Pandey over hot Coals for such vaguely mysterious and poor maintenance of their accounts clearly brought by Nirupama Rajan and Radha Rajan .

e) A safe general inference can be drawn that most of the other dubious NGOs will be no different from ASHA in respect of maintenance of accounts and utilisation of funds.

f) All these anti-Nation and anti-Hindu NGOs only talk of grassroots activism, which in many cases is only a fig-leaf for political activism. Persons like Sandeep Pandey, Harsh Mander and Aruna Roy, besides the hundreds of Christian and Marxist NGOs associate themselves with several political parties and political agendas, essentially anti-Hindu in character. Foreign funds cannot be used for political activism and there is a Constitutional ban on receiving foreign money for political activities.

g) If head-count on the basis of religion can be thought of in regard to the Armed Forces, the same approach can also be thought of in regard to the NGOs officially approved by the Union Home Ministry under the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) for purposes of State- sponsored Pseudo-secular Evangelism in India. This head-count will surely bring to the broad sunlight the murky nature of political scoundrelism of the anti-Hindu and anti-Nation UPA Government in New Delhi.

The Government of India must immediately ensure that a strong and effective organisational machinery is created to keep a continuous watch over the anti-Nation and anti-Hindu NGOs and their cohorts. But to do that, we require a strong, effective and well-meaning patriotic Government ?? not the ever faltering and surrogate UPA Government ?? that does not depend on these NGOs to campaign in its favour and against its political opponents.
